Pilos Time Travel Chapter 1.0: Too much for a coincidence

September 2011

It was around the middle of the month when I packed all my things, caught a train at six in the morning and left all my past high school life and friends behind me, looking for fortune in another city, since I can't afford moving to another country.
I was 18 back then, an average grown up teenager with a strong (almost obsessive) passion for the music band Avenged Sevenfold.

Pilos time travel Chapter 0: A trip through images, memories and Pokèmon

Hello shag.
As predictable I was out for a while, the main reason being my new job which keeps me out of town pretty much for the whole day all the week long.
Lately I have been feeling kind of nostalgic and I decided to start tis new project.

As I mentioned above, I got a fresh new job (from quite a while actually), a position made of responsibilities I am struggling to take an hold of but that I am slowly getting used to. This job was a bit unexpected and, looking back to some months ago, I would have never thought I could have such a chance.
Several years went by after I published the first post on this kind of personal project that I was about to drop several times and I still can't believe how far I got from that time.
I am not one of those who fully believes in the "no pain, no gain" rule, this equation is pretty impartial if you ask me, it is true that without any effort anything is hardly to be reached, on the other hand, even giving all you've got can turn out to be pretty pointless without a good sheer of dumb luck.Even at the end of the road, weighing what has been given with what has been received, the giving side would be far more heavy than the receiving side.

I wanted to share this trip I did with someone, to leave it impressed somewhere, and this blog is the exact place in which I want it to happen. I was thinking about writing a long diary but it would get too personal and result a bit off topic with this blog's main subjects being comics, video games and animated series. This is where the final idea took shape: a diary told via virtual images which represented a peculiar season of my life so far (look out, there will be a massive Pokèmon presence in here).

The plan is to write at least a post for each month in which I'll tell you how I changed during time as a reader, a blogger, a person and a worker. Hoping that someone out there would enjoy this virtual travel with me.

Translation Problems

Hello shag.
Two posts in two days, wow!
Today I would like to share with you a couple of opinions on Rakuzan's shooting guard Mibuchi Reo.
I already posted this on Kuroko no Basket Amino, so if you see it, don't worry, that's me.
Since I live in Italy, my approach to the manga is Italian. I didn't watch the animated third seasons for reasons but I kept on with the manga which last volume came out in October.
This is to underline that the first time I actually came in touch with Reo's character was just lately, before this, I learnt a bit about him mostly by single panels or mixed doujins and fancomics on tumblr, which were always in English.

Shopping for characters - Part I

Hello shag.
I am working for a chemistry project at my college, yes everything is so interesting. By the way, the program I am using is pretty slow in overlapping proteins, it takes it around ten minutes, so in-between those breaks, I search online for clothes that my OCs would wear.
It is funny because I am not one who actually enjoys going shopping for clothes, and when I go I buy the usual printed tees and pal hoodies, usually I don't even change colors. However, when it is about my OCs, I can spend hours on looking for peculiar outfits which suits every personality.
Today I would like to show you something that I "bought" for my characters.

"Riflessi di Luce": when characters are more than simple ink lines

Hello shag.
Lately I've been back in full force as you may have noticed. Since I know myself far too well, it won't be too long before I will be on hiatus again.

Today I'd like to talk about the work of one of my favorite artists which I also happen to share the citizenship with.
I was reluctant in the beginning to write this post since her work is published in Italian but some days ago, I learned from her publisher that they were planning to expand abroad so maybe there is the chance to find her works even translated in the future. That's what I honestly wish to her and several of her colleagues since they truly deserve a chance.

The comic I am talking about is "Riflessi di Luce" (could be translated as "Light Reflections"), an Italian Shoujo Manga published by Mangasenpai Editions created by the Italian artist Giada Romano, also known on the web as "the LostJade".
Front cover of the 1st volume

The first volume was published in 2015 currently, the series features totally 3 volumes and it's still ongoing.

The Walk of Shame part II: 5 Anime and TV series everyone loves I haven't watched yet

Hello shag.
Since I had a lot of fun writing the previous post on this subject, I would have liked to write some more of it, even though I don't know how many posts I will do for it.
Today I am going to talk to you about five popular series that for different reasons I haven't started or dropped really early.

The Walk of Shame: 5 TV series and anime from my childhood I should be ashamed of

Hello shag!
Today I was taking a look back at the old times when I was just an elementary/middle school student.
Back then, when internet and Netflix where just a mirage (no, seriously, I got my very first internet connection during my second year of high school), I used to watch a pain lot of television.
Especially on channel 2 and channel 6 starting from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. teen dramas and anime were broadcast.
Among those ones some great series like Dragon Ball Z, Digimon and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer were on plan, however I have to admit I also happened to watch (and actually like) some programs I would have never started watching by now.

Below you will find a list of the 5 TV series and anime that I actually don't like at the moment but I used to love as a kid.
